• Visit showrooms to determine design concept and styles
• Review magazines and photos as needed
• Select furniture vendors

Concept Application
• Select flooring, wall covering, window coverings, lighting,
furniture, fabrics and accessories
• Draw custom furniture, as required
• Evaluate budgets and selections
• Review for scale, balance, harmony and compositio

Purchasing and Procurement
• Define purchases required
• Write purchase orders & process with vendors
• Track orders
• Coordinate crating, shipping and delivery

Installation
• Be present to receive furniture or goods arrive
• Inspect goods before acceptance
• Make sure home is treated with respect by all personnel

Facilitation and Coordination or referrals to:

Initial Meetings
• In-depth review of your specific design needs
• Determine job requirements, timetable and projected budget
• Conceptual architectural design development with client and architect

Design Development
• Develop design concept including color schemes and design style
• Working with client select tile and granite, lighting and plumbing
fixtures, doors, door

Hardware, flooring and carpeting
• Provide or consult on cabinet design
• Provide details for mirrors and shower surrounds
• Detail fireplace surrounds and stair railings as needed
• Coordinate selection of interior and exterior paint colors
• Select exterior hardscape as needed
• Provide detailed finish schedule

Schematics
• Provide furniture layout and floor outlet locations
• Provide detailed floor plan and elevations for the kitchen and baths, if needed
• Provide drawings of tile and granite layout
• Review the reflected ceiling plan

Purchasing and Consultation
• Purchase designer materials on your behalf as needed and approved by you
• Consult with outside trades people for all other purchases, as needed

Installation
• Job site visits to review framing, rough electrical, rough plumbing, lighting,
drywall, and installation of cabinetry, fixtures, and finish materials as needed.
